M9: Concentration of Authoritative Services

-

The M9 metrics analyze the Concentration of Authoritative Services, across 6 categories: top 100, 101 to 1,000, 1,001 to 10,000, 10,001 to 100000, and 100,001 to 1M domains in the "Majectic Million" list, and names in the COM zone (See About M9 page for details). The level of concentration is assed based on either names or addresses.

The service graph shows the share of the largest name services providers across all categories. The service name is derived from the domain names of the name servers for the domains in each category. A tabulated version of the same data is available here.

The network graph shows the share of the largest networks that host name services across all categories, identified by AS number of the IP address of the name servers. A tabulated version of the same data is available here.
